Common questions about the Scrydex platform.
General
Scrydex is a comprehensive TCG data platform providing real-time pricing, historical trends, image recognition, and detailed card information for multiple games including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Lorcana, and more.
Currently, we support Pokémon, Lorcana, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Gundam, and Riftbound. We are constantly working on adding more games to our platform.
New expansions (e.g., Pitch Black, Black Bolt, White Flare) are typically added to Scrydex as soon as official data becomes available, usually within 24-48 hours of official release date. This can vary by the game, but we always try to have data fully available by release date.
Migration from pokemontcg.io
Scrydex is the official successor to pokemontcg.io. We will announce an end-of-life on the legacy API to give additional time for users to migrate. We recommend all users migrate to Scrydex for the most up-to-date data.
Scrydex uses a slightly updated json schema, but very similar to the legacy API. IDs from the old API are still compatible with the Scrydex.
Billing & Credits
Each API request consumes credits based on the data requested. Basic card lookups usually cost 1 credit, while more complex historical data or bulk requests may consume more. Check your dashboard for detailed usage metrics.
API credits reset monthly on your billing anniversary date. Unused credits do not roll over to the next month.
You can adjust your overage credit cap directly from your Account Dashboard under the 'Usage' or 'Billing' section. This allows you to control costs while ensuring your service isn't interrupted.
This typically happens when you have hit your self-imposed monthly overage cap, even if you still have base credits remaining in your plan. Check your cap settings in the dashboard to increase it if necessary.
Data & Pricing
We are actively working on expanding our multi-language support. Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, French, German, and Italian are all on our roadmap. Chinese is a high priority as we are developing the specific set structure required for these releases.
Yes, once you upgrade to a plan that includes graded prices (Growth or Professional), adding `?include=prices` to your API calls will automatically return graded card data and trends.
The `include=prices` parameter returns different levels of data based on your plan. Starter plans include raw market prices. Growth and Professional plans add historical trends and graded card data (PSA, BGS, CGC, etc.).
We refresh our pricing data at least once a day from various market sources to ensure you have the most accurate and up-to-date information possible.
We are currently evaluating the addition of Cardmarket and other Europe-focused marketplaces. If this is a high priority for your project, please let us know via our support email ([email protected]).
